The Govt. Laxmaneshwar College Kharod was established on the July 1965. In early days it was organised by Laxmaneshwar Shikshan Samiti as a private college. In 26 th June 1981 the college was taken over by the Govt. The college is reconized under UGC act under 2F . Kharod is Situated by the side of Chitrotpalla Mahanadi and near Sheorinarayan. Kharod and Sheorinaryan are religious places which are famous for the religious fair, held in every year during maghi Purnima. Kharod is also for famous for Lakshmaneshwar Temple.
